Surgery Policy
Effective January 1, 2008
We realize that having surgery on your pet is a stressfull time for you. We want to explain a few of our policies to help ease the stress of the unknown.
1. All surgeries will have pre-operative bloodwork to help minimize the risk of potential unknown problems.
2. All surgeries will be hospitalized overnight unless the doctor decides otherwise.
3. All surgeries will be performed using sterile technique to minimize the risk of infection.
4. All surgeries will be monitored during surgery using Ascill Pet monitor which monitors ekg, temperature, pulse oximetry, respirations and blood pressure.
5. All surgeries that require
Post-operative pain control will recieve it.
6. Fees for surgery include all these things. There will be NO surprise "add on" charges, unless additional medications are required afterwards for some unforseen reason.
We have decided to include all of these things on every surgery to insure that we give all pets the same quality of care. We want this stressfull time of your pet having surgery to be as painless as possible for you and your pet.
We don't ever want there to be confusion on your part as to why we do what we do. If you ever have a question, please don't hesitate to ask us.
Here is a list of our current surgery fee schedule for common procedures.
